Why I'm a Habitual Reader:
I love mysteries and don't leave the house without a book in hand. I'm liable to become dangerously cranky if I have to twiddle my thumbs somewhere without something to read. Or something to write on.
My List of Ten: Humorous Mysteries or mysteries that made me think
1. Murder With Peacocks
Author: Donna Andrews
Made me laugh out loud in a business office
2. Red, White, and Blue Murder
Author: Bill Crider
Crider always makes me laugh out loud.
3. Murder Boogies with Elvis
Author: Anne George
I believe it's the last in the Anne George Southern Sisters series, and I adore
her books.
4. Jingle's Christmas
Author: Randy Rawls
What could be better than a PI with an elf assistant at Christmas time?
5. We Have Always Lived In The Castle
Author: Shirley Jackson
I got so caught up in this book that I had to read it again to see if I missed
any details. A book to savor.
6. All Mortal Flesh
Author: Julia Spencer-Fleming
The ending of the book came as such a shock. It will be a long time before
a book grabs me like that one did.
7. Christmas Secret
Author: Ann Perry
I love Christmas books and this one kept me turning pages.
8. But Why Shoot the Magistrate
Author: Patricia Sprinkle
Her mysteries are humorous and revolve around a couple that has been married
for decades and are still in love.
9. And Only To Deceive
Author: Tasha Alexander
First by this author, I also love historical mysteries and she does it well.
10. Murder On Peachtree Street
Author: Patricia Sprinkle
This other series by Sprinkle is what introduced
me to her writing. She always keeps my attention, whether the books are
serious or humorous.
