Bookstore: Books Without Borders
Location: Eugene, Oregon
Specialty: General books
Recommended By: James Squires
Position at the Store: Owner

We are a local bookstore in the heart of downtown Eugene, Oregon that specializes in a little bit of everything. Myself and my co-worker Amelia have over 20 years combined experience selling, enjoying, and obsessing about books, and decided to create our own store in May of 2005.

Every book in the store is carefully chosen, so we hope our customers can always find something that appeals to them.

In addition, we also host local author events and readings, have a store book group, and other assorted fun stuff.

The next time you are in Eugene, come by and say hi, and be sure to tell us about what book you are reading now. We would love to talk with you about it!

Bookstore: Books Unlimited
Location: San Mateo, California
Specialty: general used and new books
Recommended By: Jeannie Mancini
Position at the Store: Owner

At Books Unlimited you will find a unique and ecclectic atmosphere filled with over 30,000 used, new and antiquarian books of all categories. Being the owner of this shop encourages me to try to bond with my customers in order to create relationships that induce trust and a certain comfort level so that they feel they can rely on me to find new & exciting authors and books that they normally woudn't find on their own. My own recommendation bookshelf of favorite choices helps people to know that they are going to be purchasing a unique book not found elsewhere. We also have a few other unique bookshelf offerings that most stores dont have, an Arthurian legend section, a historical fiction bookcase, and the very popular Wolf & Bat Bookshelf that houses the hot and popular vampire & werewolf fiction that seems to be an ever growing category in today's pop culture book world. Recently we have been trying to encourage children and teens to read more and now have a wonderfully large selection catering to young readers as well. Harry Potter is not the only enjoyable teen fantasy series out there so I like to share other similar fantasy novels with the kids and their parents. In general I like to stock a little bit of everything rather than specializing in any one area. Variety in books is the spice of life.
